Dr. Claire Duffy grew up in Cranbrook BC, where she developed her love for sports and overall health and wellness. Motivated by a desire to comprehensively understand human health, wellness, and physiology, she eagerly pursued a career in the field. She graduated with a Bachelor degree in Kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge. It was during this time that her interest in Chiropractic care was ignited and decided to further her studies at University of Western States in Portland, OR where she graduated with a degree in Human Biology and her Doctorate of Chiropractic.
Through her academic journey Dr. Claire has developed a passion for family-based care and athletics. With a combination of manipulation, soft tissue therapies, and rehab based exercise, Dr. Claire strives to empower her patients to achieve goals that are important to them and to get back to the activities they love – no matter what those look like. I graduated from Alberta College of Massage Therapy in 2018 and since then I’ve worked with many people through various life stages. I can do both relaxation and deep tissue massages however my speciality is deep pressure therapeutic techniques. Dr. Petersen recently relocated back to Calgary from Prince George, where she had a busy practice while serving on the BC Chiropractic Association Board of Directors. She has a keen interest in athletics and family wellness-based care. Her specialties include manual adjusting, manual and instrument assisted soft tissue techniques, kinesiology taping, Shockwave therapy, Activator Method and Sigma Pro-Adjustor technique (a gentle non-force technique to improve joint function and decrease pain). Her mission is to help improve people’s health and wellness through evidence-informed chiropractic care and advice.
Dr. Petersen began seeing a chiropractor at the age of 15 when she was a member of the Canadian Junior National Luge Team. She found relief from her injuries as well as improvement in her sport performance following chiropractic treatment. This was her inspiration for pursuing a career in chiropractic. She went on to study biological science at the University of Calgary, followed by the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Lori’s interest in holistic wellness was sparked in childhood after experiencing the benefits of
chiropractic care. After many years as a Social Worker supporting youth and families, she became
a Registered Massage Therapist, graduating from Foothills College of Massage Therapy in 2007.
While receiving treatment for motor vehicle injuries, Lori discovered CranioSacral Therapy. Inspired
by the profound healing effects of this modality in combination with chiropractic and massage, she
began taking classes through the Upledger Institute, eventually becoming an Advanced
practitioner. She is also an active Teaching Assistant in CranioSacral classes, with aspirations of
